The Elephant In The Room (part 1)

There is an elephant in the room!

No, not literally, however it may often feel that way. You know what I mean when I say this, right? The “elephant in the room” means that “thing” that everyone knows about, but no one is talking about.

It’s something groups, especially families, do all the time. When something has happened between two or more people, and it hasn’t been resolved, and for whatever reason no one is saying anything about it. Maybe there are still hurt feelings. Maybe there is a grudge or a secret. Often it’s the interaction of several of these.

It begins to feel like there is a big elephant in the room; everyone can feel the crowding, the tension (and smell the stink!), yet no one is willing to be the one to open up THAT can of worms.

Each of you has a big vision. Whether you are a quick-moving entrepreneur or are a part of a larger company, you are a leader in your arena. The only problem is, we have an elephant of our own in the room! But you’re going to love bringing this elephant out of hiding, because when you do, it lets you in on a secret you can use for your own success. It’s the secret of the top 1%.

Have I built up this elephant enough? OK, here it is, and you’re going to recognize this seldom talked-about truth intuitively.
If you want to move forward faster, if you want to continue to up-level in your business and in your life, you have to move through your internal crap faster.

Now please understand the term “crap” is the technical term for internal processes, challenges, or personal issues, but you know what I mean. Without a doubt the top 1% of successful people in your field know this is the truth. Each of us NEEDS to invest in our own internal growth, in moving through our “crap,” before or at the very least in conjunction with anything else we choose to do.

This means when you are working with your business coach and making progress in your business, you will most likely be looking forward, moving into unknown territory. By defintion this puts you in unfamilar places.

So like any of us, you will naturally look for a place to hold on to, a place to get your bearings and make sense out of this new territory. You will habitually fall back on your old patterns, try to create familiar feelings, and find places where you feel comfortable and safe. It’s normal.

Thing is…these places, feelings, and patterns are exactly those that you haven’t yet been able to leap beyond. They are linked to experiences from your past that continue to mis-inform you in the present. You NEED to heal these places if you want to go further and especially if you want to go faster.

This is why business coaching alone isn’t enough. You need to have someone on your side, someone who’s got your back. You need to have the person that can cut to the core of the challenge or issue, see the energetics of what is happening (especially when you can’t), give you the feedback that you couldn’t come up with on your own and then teach you how to raise your energetic vibration so you can meet and exceed those challenges once and for all.

I wanted to speak up about this elephant in the room, because this is what I do. I am not a business coach, but every business coach needs me. I am not a marketing expert, but every marketer needs me too. I am not going to tell you I have ALL the answers, but I will have you finally asking the right questions. Only then can we find the answers that matter most to YOU.
